Dan Peña brings over 50 years of leadership experience to The Carex Collective, with a passion for building sustainable organizations that make a difference. His extensive background in healthcare includes assisted living, homecare, carehomes and wellness initiatives.
Dan is dedicated to creating partnerships that prioritize exceptional care standards while providing the resources needed for care providers to thrive and enhance the lives of those they serve.
Dan Peña is the Chairman and Founder of The Guthrie Group, an investment consortium that facilitates transactions, since 1997. He was the founder and former Chairman, President, and CEO of Great Western Resources Inc., a natural resource company, where he was responsible for growing the company in an 8-year period from $820 to a public market capitalization of $450 million, listed on the London Stock Exchange.
He currently serves as Chairman of his personal holding and other growing companies in the US, UK, Australia, Europe, and Asia in various industries, many of which are in the healthcare industry – including, assisted living, homecare, carehomes, dental and wellness.

Nick's focus is on creating care environments where both residents and staff can thrive. Under his leadership at Cera Care, he helped improve regulatory ratings to 'Good' across the group, demonstrating his commitment to quality and excellence in care delivery.
The Head of Legal, Peter Robinson
Peter Robinson has always embraced challenges throughout his career as a highly respected law firm partner, chairman and board member, company legal director and executive committee member. Educated in South Africa and at Cambridge University, England, he has worked in London, Shanghai and Beijing and regularly travelled to Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, South Africa and various countries in Western Europe. Peter was a long-term partner and Board member of City law firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner (as it then was - now BCLP), where he was chairman for 18 years.
Peter's expertise was corporate finance where he was involved in private equity transactions, IPOs and many mergers and acquisitions including the care home sector.
Peter brings valuable experience in guiding care organizations through complex legal landscapes with integrity and a people-first approach.
His international legal background has given him insight into diverse care models and collaborative approaches.
